Final Destination

No freelook, no jump, Final Destination.

This map serves to mark the end of the map rotations for all gamemodes, this map is clearly a copy of the Final Destination stages from the Super Smash Bros. Series and can be played on any gamemode; The Grandpa is also not present on this map.

Design

The map looks like an imitation of the many versions of the original stage from Smash Bros, but adapted to work inside DOOM and its in-game techniques, for example: The multiple pillars to use as cover, and the jumppad parkour to the BFG or other goodies.

Besides the design part, the map has almost every function its original counterpart accomplishes; it works as both multiplayer madness and serious 1 vs. 1 combat, when playing on Duel Mode, the music on the map will change.

Trivia

  • This map is actually more enjoyable on Duel Mode.

  • Nintendo is already on it's way to capture Pepsi Dude and sentence him to execution.

  • This is the only playable map on all gamemodes besides the lobby.

  • It was planned that the buckshot modifier was applied ONLY to this map for Duel Mode, but couldn't be done due to the modifier being a latched CVar (in simple words, not customizable trought scripts).

  • The map doesn't really copy an exact version of Final Destination from one of the 5 smash games, but can be said that the Melee version was the biggest inspiration.
